Friday, we can be friends
18 mile run in the rain: Done.
Delicious lunch sandwich: created.
Peppermint Dark Chocolate bar: Hit the spot.
Old-school Grey’s Anatomy episode on some random day-time channel: Put the cherry on top.
Friday, you are being quite the charmer!

Seriously spell-check, get with it.

sub-zero summer
Spent the last hour contemplating ordering a Space Heater for my desk.
At the end of July.
AC, something is wrong with this picture! Stop being so crazy.

Do You Remember
How to play an instrument you learned as a kid?
What ‘summer’ meant when you had total freedom?
The bucket-list of places you “have always wanted” to see?
A book that made you feel like story-telling keeps things alive?
The language you wish you were fluent in?
A run, ride, hike or adventure that made you realize limits were only set by your mind, not your physical...
It's like looking through a yearbook, virtually
All I get from the Pandora’s Facebook “{Insert Person’s Name} like this” plug-in is a lot of random flash-backs.
Who “likes” this artist? When did I “friend” that person?
On that note, when did “Friend’ become a verb?
These are the things I ponder at 10:50 a.m.
A Lifestyle.
“Sweat once a day.”
“Dance. Sing. Travel. Floss.”
“Do it NOW. Do it NOW. Do it NOW.”
Remember, “Friends are more important than money.”
Remember, “Creativity is maximized when you’re living in the moment.”
“Breathe Deeply.”
“Do one thing a day that scares you.”

This may be one of the single most productive days I’ve ever had at work.
Friday, how’d you do that?! Oh, right:
Deadlines.
Iced Coffee.
the promise of a weekend ahead.
I’ll remember that formula for next time.
Hiking is a one way to:
realize what oxygen-deprivation feels like
make your calf muscles insanely sore
get an incredible view of more mountains that you may eventually climb, or that you will never see up-close n’ personal
say “hello” to the tens of strangers doing the same thing you are
get sunburned very quickly

The days when I procrastinate the most and debate whether or not I really “want” to run? They turn out the best.
Hear that legs? The best - the most refreshing, full of energy, cool-Denver-morning run.
So, let’s go get one of those.
Caffeine:1
Twas a failed attempt to avoid the coffee cup today; I lasted a mere 4 hours after my normal cup o’ joe works the magic. Iced-coffee in hand, and satisfied.
The only plus side here is that there is no line at Starbucks at 11:48 a.m. So, I’ll give myself that.

24.9 Year Old Toes
I took part in a Running Clinic yesterday, wherein we did a few barefoot drills + jogging around a parking lot. My feet feel tender and upset with me. My 10-yr-old self feels ashamed that an hour of barefoot adventuring caused the previous statement. Geeze.
SATC
Carrie & the gals never go out of style. The second cinema edition of one of the BEST series on television followed true “sequel” fashion - i.e. it wasn’t good. But yet I’m drawn to it “On Demand” (for free, of course). They’re no bueno in the UAE, but they can take NYC any day.
Feeling so 2011
A 1.5 year hiatus did not create magic HTML knowledge or a fancy new tumblr theme (unfortunately, for this page’s appearance).
It DID create an overdose in other social media venues, thus creating a new appreciation for this little space. Hello, IBT. Let’s reignite the flame.

but I don't have a griddle
I contemplated buying pancake mix for about 3.5 seconds at Target tonight. I like pancakes, right? Sure. That could be a good mix to throw into my breakfast schedule now and then, right? Mmmhmmm.
It might be a little tricky to flip that thing in a skillet, right?
YUP.
Movin’ on.
